Workshop Overview:

This 6 hour session is an introduction to digital video applications in the bilingual/ELL classroom. Participants will explore digital video tools and Internet resources that can enhance bilingual/ELL instruction, improve language development and create enduring understanding.

 

Workshop Goals:

• view and discuss examples of quality student/teacher created videos

• explore classroom uses of United Streaming video clips and digital media kits

   • create and edit their own video using iMovie, iPhoto, iTunes

• discuss classroom management techniques for video projects

30 minutes - Student and teacher created digital videos AISD and Apple

15 minutes - Time Saver: Media Kits - Kitzu.org

45 minutes - Create your own media kit using United Streaming, Archive.org

45 minutes - Basic editing using iMovie

45 minutes - Practice- Make a 30 second movie using your media kit

30 minutes - Share Your Video
